Our pies have been developed over the years by Mrs Hughes, Simon’s mother. One of the finest pastry chefs you’ll ever meet, Stephanie first began making the pies as a way to use up left over goose and chicken meat from Sunday dinner. She then started to sell them at local farmers markets and beyond with huge success and in Christmas 2011 we sold them alongside our free-range geese for the Christmas market and they were shipped all over the country. The pastry is a shorter crust pastry, with a fine, delicate texture. The fillings are made up of locally sourced vegetables, to compliment our home-grown meat. The pies come ready cooked and are best re-heated & served hot. They are all freshly made and are able to be frozen. All of our pies are made to order, if there’s an alternative ingredient you’d like included – or something excluded – just let us know.  All of our pies are available to order from November to February each year.
